Area Art Teacher Professional Development featuring Los Tejanos: Chicano Art from the Cheech Marin Collection

Area elementary, middle and high school art instructors are invited to join us as we examine our newest exhibition Los Tejanos: Chicano Art from the Cheech Marin Collection from the most renowned collection of it's kind. We'll hear from local artist and Associate Professor of Art at TAMU-CC, Joe Pena, who will talk about his work in Los Tejanos as well as his career as a Chicano Artist. After lunch, tour the new Creation Station studio spaces and participate in the hands-on portion of the workshop led b local Chicana artist, Mayra Zamora. We will finish the afternoon with the chance to win fun door prizes and giveaways. Reservations are required and space is limited for this free workshop.

Cost: Free to Area Art Teachers (limited capacity)  

Lunch will be provided. Register by January 19, 2018 online here  and receive a free one-year membership to AMST courtesy of H-E-B.
